1960s Built Models

Recommended Posts

I picked up some built model cars from the 1960s from the original owner that he built when the kits were new. There are some very interesting custom models and I have lots of restoring to do. There was also a few boxes of spare parts with enough bits to finish several of the models. I have already put the 63 Nova in the paint stripper :)

So, is it your plan to restore them in the vein of the original build style or are you planning to rebuild in your own style ( or some combination thereof)?

That corvette is giving me ideas.

Very nice! I envy you so hard right now. Although if I'd had that one, I'd have been tempted to "rescue" and Snake-Fu it and display it as a proud survivor. I hope you do something GREAT with it--good luck! B)

Good luck on the Nova! Do you need taillight bezels? I've cast some.

If you want a hood with no hole in it there are three on eBay right now from seller vintagemodelcarparts.
