Sounds to me like Atlantis will be reissuing one of the very best (and also very little known) kits of a particular model car genre/category .... not sure if it will be in this next round of "15" announcements or later on, but presuming it actually happens, it will be a "must purchase" for those who like to build those types of models....TB

Tim! Now that's just plain evil, you definitely know how to keep a few hundred (at the least) rabid model car builder/collectors in suspense. By the time your hints become known items half of us will have imagined about a jillion kits that they're absolutely sure to be the ones that are going to be released. In the meantime you sit there with a cup of coffee watching the lower life forms drive themselves into a total frenzy arguing with each other that each one of them is sure THEY are the ones who are in the know.?

Del...sorry about that.

Difficult decision when it comes to sharing generalized info that I think is beneficial to the hobby, without divulging in too much detail some info that I don't think the manufacturer would be glad about.  Fortunately, I am not in the "cue" of insider info for most of what is going on in the hobby these days.  As for "lower life forms", my view is that we are all in this hobby together...so if that is the case, that makes me a "lower life form" too.

BTW, sometimes I get future kit releases wrong too.  If/when one future kit announcement I was hinting at last year (but actually turned out to be a completely different kit) does actually get issued at some point in the future, I will have to fess up.  Yep, that makes me a lower life form, for sure (smile...)

Anyway, very best from this corner....TIM

Was there a hint in issue #218? I have been asking for a long time for a kit Atlantis should have tooling for.

Tim Boyd , Are you hinting that the old Renwal modern classic series is coming back? The Stutz , Mercer,  Bugatti, etc?/

The "Little known" one in that series would be the Jordan Playboy...

I have heard that Bleach will work too, just not looking forward to the extra work .... still, it's the Rattler.

Just a warning, I wouldn't use bleach unless you want to remove the chrome completely. Normally the colored chrome (most commonly gold, but in this case copper) is some sort of paint or dye that alcohol can usually take care of without damaging the chrome underneath. As always test it first before potentially ruining parts.

This phrasing coupled with staying inside the framework of what Atlantis has offered to this point keeps me thinking in terms of 60's Revell with some relation to the Parts Packs, but still very genre specific and somewhat obscure.

My mind goes to LSR cars and the Mickey Thompson Attempt I.

The seven Renwall Revival kits:

Oh boy, do I HOPE those are gonna be reissued! So that leaves 8 other kits to be reissued....   Lindberg 1/32 cars of 1976-77?

Paul....no.  Further, fwiw, I have no knowledge that any kitmaker has those Renwall tools around at this time, or even if they still exist.  But sure would be cool if they did!   TB .

We are getting the 1/32 Monogram Funny Cars from Atlantis… could it be more 1/32?

The Hemi Fiat perhaps?

Or the Boss Willys?

Or maybe the sacred grail that is the Ford Screamer?

Oh a boy can dream…

Can hope for the Tom Daniel 1/12 scale Mean Maverick.

Ooh wouldn’t that be grand?

I’d also be happy with the 1/12 Super Digger!

Or better yet… both

If not the  Renwall Revivals, there is another long lost forgotten series from Aurora that has not seen the light of day since 1970 .

Could it be?

come to think of  it ,there's a whole  bunch of MIA 1/32 from Aurora.

Lindberg could not give those 1/32 scale Turkeys away when the last boxed those kit in the late 1980's. They were poor kits, with badly fitting vinyl tires that split when being forced over the wheels.

If you want them, the secondary market should have quite a few still for sale.

I agree that more old Revell tooling will be part of the 15 new kits. I'll bet there will be some Airplanes too.

I see 7 that I think are Revell.

3 are possibly Monogram.

Looks good, The Roth Kits do nothing for me, but the Two Keeler Kustom's Kits are winners to me!

I’m particularly excited about the Midget racer, although I know they’re not super detailed kits:

And the Swamp Rat is presumably this:

I wonder what the Fuller dragster is?  The silver car that came boxed with the little T dragster as a twin kit at one point?

Too bad these are 1/32. The LaSalle and Packard, with some work, could probably be returned to stock, and would indeed make interesting replica-stock models.

I was thinking more, however, we could really use some more figures in 1/24-25 scale at reasonable prices.

Probably the Dog Sled chassis Scarlet Screamer
