Scale-Master Posted July 31, 2020 Author Posted July 31, 2020 Thank you Anton! After it looked good in primer, I shot a base coat of gloss white and let it dry for a few days just to make sure there were no ghosting issues. It looked good so I shot more of the same white for the color coat.
Scale-Master Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 Thanks! I sourced these brakes from the parts box, I know they are Tamiya units; maybe from a Skyline GTR…?
Scale-Master Posted August 20, 2020 Author Posted August 20, 2020 Thanks! First color was added. Pure Blue from the Tamiya LP line.
Modlbldr Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Wow! I like what you are doing with this. It really has a nice shape to it. Looking good! Later-
Scale-Master Posted August 20, 2020 Author Posted August 20, 2020 Thanks guys! It's fun side project. Second color…
Jantrix Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Very eye catching and appealing. Most impressive.
Scale-Master Posted August 22, 2020 Author Posted August 22, 2020 Thanks Rob! I decided to add the blue to the nose after all. The tonneau cover shined up nicely…
Scale-Master Posted August 23, 2020 Author Posted August 23, 2020 Thank you Trevor! I made the fasteners from steel pins.
Jonathan Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Wow! This thing is impressive! Love seeing your work!
misterNNL Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Out of my personal wheelhouse but with craftsman level body and paint execution.
Scale-Master Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Thanks guys! Got the clear on the body...
Scale-Master Posted September 4, 2020 Author Posted September 4, 2020 The glass, gas cap and lights are in. The original plan was to black out the rear end, I think it still works. I tacked in the hood and tonneau cover too.
Modlbldr Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Fantastic looking build. I think the blacked out rear end looks good. This was a great idea you had and very well executed! Later-
TarheelRick Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Excellent use of leftover parts. Parts box builds are the opportunity to use our creative skills and your creativity is coming through beautifully on this build.
Scale-Master Posted September 4, 2020 Author Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) Thanks guys! The driver's seat is from something Tamiya. I made the belts, buckles and decals. Edited September 4, 2020 by Scale-Master
