Nice 396 in this kit. Did a bit of detailing with heater hoses and brake lines from the master cylinder. Added a set of what look like Compomotive wheels from the Revell Firebird kit I think but I'm thinking of digging out the originals and putting it back to stock. Lovely kit this, fell together.

Nice one, it looks good.

Is this the Revell kit that's the sister to the '66 Chevelle Wagon? I recently did one of them and it went nicely, I'd happily build one of these El Caminos on that experience.

Not sure on the sister kit status sorry, I can only say it was an older Revell kit. The moulding was very crisp and required very little fettling.

Really cool Elky! Great color on it. I built the wagon, too, and borrowed some parts from my Elky kit, so I'd say they are probably sister kits.

Beautiful looking El Camino. The black finish will hide no sins on the body. The question about the wagon and this, they are related in that Revell offered the El Camino first and the next year they offered the wagon and they share many parts including the big block engine that couldn't be had in the wagon from the factory. Very nicely done and stayed true to the OEM look except for the wheels.
