Seen a lot about using Future via airbrush, but not on how to clean the airbrush after?  A couple of notes on using Windex?  I've used Future for dipping for a while, but not airbrushed.  Can anyone confirm how best to clean out the brush afterwords?

Thanks!

Either rubbing alcohol or household ammonia will make Future simply disappear.

And be quick about the clean up because it can get sticky quickly.

How about mixing alcohol and Windex together for a super-cleaning fluid? :)

I've done that, it's no more super than just using alcohol from what I can tell. But the greater portion was the Windex, maybe the other way around might be better.

It's been about impossible to find 91 these days too. Now and  then 70 shows up, I have more of that on hand now than 91 and been using it for cleaning. I also adjusted my universal thinner to accommodate the 70.

I buy 99% IPA in a gallon-size can at my local hardware store (in the paint thinners isle).

Have you looked there to see if there is actually any in stock since the so called pandemic hit ?

Yes, I saw multiple cans on the shelf In July.  I suspect people do not think to look in the paint thinners isle for Isopropyl Alcohol.  I didn't buy any as I already have 2 gallons stored away.  I usually buy it when I get a $5 or $10 discount coupon from my Ace Hardware store.

I make my own airbrush cleaner similar to this. At work so don't have the diluting proportions in my head but can add them later

Winter windsheid washer fluid

Distilled Water

90% Isopropyl

Drops of dawn detergent or glycerine

It cleans up acrylics very well...which Future is.
