The front suspension was broken in many pieces. I might be able to regain poseable steering but I think I won't be able to have them turn. Here drilling out the kingpin.

I built this kit some time ago, had it fall apart after a move ( glue points pretty indefinite, will try pinning). Just my opinion, but the model ends up looking slightly taller and narrower than photos of the real car. When I get a minute, I plan on rebuilding it and try to resolve these issues.

Thanks Carl. Off comes the roof of the Bugatti, and off comes the hind quarters of the Rolls. Then it is a slice at a time until a match line is met. Wish me luck.

The bodies are back together. Now I'm debating whether to do a black stripe loosely based on the suject car or a Bugatti swoop.

I haven't had the time to touch this in two weeks. Between building a bed and freshening up my daughter's house for eventual sale I got some filler on and I managed to paint the headlights. Don't worry, they're not glued in place yet, they'll be straighter.

Here's the bed and the flooring my wife and I laid at our daughter's.

Made a pattern which I will cut out of thin styrene sheet then glue to the body. it wiull make a nice color break. I think I will use the back seat of the coupe as it fits in there perfectly.

Looks like a very interesting build, Pat...... I particularly like the Saoutchik boat tail style, but your choice can work really well also.

Fitted the door panels. i took quite a bit of sanding and filing. I was considering keeping the windows but I managed to both scratch and crack them while detaching the rear part.

This is looking more and more interesting1

What you are doing is replicating customers requests to coachbuilders as it was back in the day.

Pretty well I guess.

Cut the coirners of the rear seat so it would fit the body's taper. The first cut didn't allow for the doorpanels, so cut some more.
