Revell Shelby Cobra 427 S/C: Gumball Rally Movie Car

I finished up my Shelby Cobra from the movie Gumball Rally. The color is a custom mix of Decoart Dazzling Metallics craft paint sprayed through my airbrush, and cleared with Pledge Floor Gloss. The interior is Jet Black Apple Barrel craft paint coated with Decoart Duraclear Satin Varnish. I added spark plug wires, the tell-tale Cibie driving lights, and the bumper mounted antenna for extra detail. I did miss a thing or two and couldn't get the right front stance to look right, but I am very happy with it overall. This was a nice kit and a fun little build of probably my favorite car and one of my favorite movies. I'm hoping to do 6 or 7 more of the cars from the movie if and when I can get the proper kits to replicate the cars. My next project though, will be Dom's Charger from the original Fast and Furious movie, a kit my son got me for Father's Day last year. You can also see the difference in the metallic color between the indoor and outdoor pics. As always, thanks for looking!!

?  Very nice build and a cool old movie.  I built one years ago and it could be a twin (same color and sidepipes).  A cool conversion would be to make a Supersnake with the twin Paxton super chargers and the hood with the massive scoop.

Good looking Cobra, and one of my favourite movies. It will look great on the shelf alongside a red Ferrari Daytona roadster. Actually, lots of cool model subjects in the Gumball Rally. It would be fun to build the whole lot, including the rabbit's T-bucket hot rod.

Thank you Trevor! That's actually my long term goal to do as many participant cars as possible with the kit selection available. Some of them are pretty hard to come by, but maybe in time.

Thank you Roger! Yes, there's quite a difference between indoor and outdoor. I usually try to get both lighting samples, especially with metallic paint jobs.
