doorsovdoon Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 I have doubts about the quality of this kit! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-motorised-Doyusha-7-1-25-scale-The-1964-Pontiac-GTO-plastic-model-kit/184522735321?hash=item2af6697ed9:g:~EUAAOSwb19fW1HZ
cobraman Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Most motorized or once motorized kits I have ever built suffer greatly in details. I can not speak to this kit however.

RichCostello Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 That doesn't look like a 64 GTO to me!

I was not impressed with it.
Richard Bartrop Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Someone at Doyusha probably went, "Eh, nobody cares about that foreign stuff anyhow..."
paul alflen Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 I have this kit in a different box , body is pretty good ! Reminds me of the 71 GTO MPC promo body. When you look under the hood part of the one piece body, it even has the same or similar mold parting line! I'll have to test fit the 1972 MPC GTO kit and see how far off it is? If I remember correctly it comes with the correct 71 GTO spoiler also. The Dousha kit interior is not deep at all but has the semi correct headrests in it?.It has a slot cat depth to it .Chassis has no detail to it!I will check it tonight!
NOBLNG Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 (edited) It was built here a while back. The interior is weird because of the electrics. Edited November 11, 2020 by NOBLNG
Spottedlaurel Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 I built a Nissan Cherry in the same range. I think the quality of them can vary depending on who originally designed and manufactured the kit, this is certainly the case with the other unbuilt ones I have. Scaling on some of them, but not all, seems to be larger than 1:24. I think they all have a shallow interior, but with a bit of parts box raiding and/or scratchbuilding that wouldn't be too difficult to rectify? Some of mine (maybe all) have smoked glass.
doorsovdoon Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 Interesting. Sounds like it has some use then if just for the body.
