Kit Basher Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Older AMT/Ertl kit. The paint is John Deere Industrial Yellow (left over from painting some farm equipment) This kit deserves to be plumbed and detailed, but after struggling with a badly warped bed, I just didn't have the heart for it. So here it is OOB.
TECHMAN Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 ??? You sure overcame the flaws of the kit, GREAT JOB!!! DJ
Kit Basher Posted November 14, 2020 Author Posted November 14, 2020 Thanks, Dave! Thanks, DJ! It was a fun kit to build, and went together well, except for the warped bed. It's a lot of pieces, and took me 6 months or so, off and on, but I enjoyed it.
Doug 1061 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Nice work. 6 months seems to be the norm for me on a truck kit. Sometimes you have to walk away from it for a bit.
kilrathy10 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 These always look good, Dude... With or without plumbing... I love this model... Looks like you got the bed to sit pretty straight... Excellent job... Nice and clean...
extmcdriver Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Very nicely done. I just built one of these as well. Quite the challenge, looks great!
Kit Basher Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Thanks, Dan! Thanks, JT! Thanks, Jim! Thanks, Rick!
Sam I Am Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Now I wish I had not sold mine... Great job !
Oldmopars Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Great job, turned out great. I am working on the very same kit as I view this. Its a great kit and it takes a ton of time. I like it and am inspired to keep going on mine
