Richard Bartrop Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 The Cord Boat Tail speedster thread in 1:1 Reference inspired this speedster based on the 1938-39 sharknose Graham, though I did take some liberties with the proportions. The Hollywood name wasn't used until 1940, but I thought it captured the spirit of the design. Executed in Photoshop. 3

jokar124 Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 That's a beautiful design. Have you considered scratchbuilding this as a model?

Spex84 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Cool stuff Richard! I think the sharknose works well as a boattail roadster...it definitely has that Hollywood star-power, with a dash of eccentricity. Howard Hughes, maybe :D
1930fordpickup Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I think this is nice. I am glad I took a look in here today. As misterNNL has said, another view would be nice.
Paul Payne Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I really like that the front, rear, and fender angles are all the same- really unifies the design. What engine would this have had?
89AKurt Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Nice rendering. I like the concept, would be a total scratch-build. I know someone in Prescott with a sedan that he restored, still has the supercharged engine.
Claude Thibodeau Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Hi Richard! Very nice and flowing. Just what some factory designer might have designed as a "concept car" back then. You should build it! CT
GarryR Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 I like it that it does not look like a digital illustration at first look. Clever design and color usage.
