It's been awhile, but here is my latest build.  This is a total copy of Swinger 340's Virginian build.  Used the same Fremont Racing body and the same Moebius chassis, engine, etc.  After messing up the first set of Fred Cady decals, I painted my stripes and ordered another set of decals.  The only chassis modification I encountered was having to narrow the chassis behind the rear wheel wells.  The resin body appears thicker in this area.  The Fremont Racing body is by far the best resin body I have ever used.  This was also my first attempt at building my own windows and was surprisingly easy.

I finally finished this one.  This car started with a Fremont Racing body, again very good quality.  I decided to use the Moebius AWB chassis and didn't realize how different the '64 and '65 cars were.  I would recommend using a '64 donor Plymouth and altering the chassis.  I used the Richard Petty Plymouth for the grille, headlight covers, valve covers, dash panel, instrument panel and taillight covers.  Sedan windows didn't fit, so I made them from scratch.  Again, I took creative liberties on the decals.

Very cool! I remember going to Mid-America Raceway in '65, or maybe '66, to see Dyno Don. Always loved the altered wheelbase cars.

This is the third in my recent "binge build".  This car was really a parts bin special, so I will give the best details I can.  I started with the Model King Warbucks Mustang and painted the body Testors Extreme Lacquer yellow and used Slixx Frantic Ford decals.  The chassis is the AMT 1967 Shelby GT-350 piece and fit very well with the Model King interior tub.  I cut out the trans tunnel and torque boxes to fit the interior tub.  The 427 Cammer is a leftover Moebius Comet piece mounted 8" back from stock.  Everything else was just pieced together from leftover kit parts.  The concept is a match race version of the Ford A/FX Mustangs.  This meant the rear axle was moved forward 8" instead of 3" on the A/FX car.  The front axle is from the Cosmic Charger dragster mounted with leftover leaf springs, replacing the A/FX Mustang's cumbersome torson leaf setup.

I recently got this in a trade. Im not sure when it was built but it was long ago. It's a screw bottom with the basic chassis. I decided it was best to clean it up and leave it as is.

Looks great. I have the same Fremont resin kit I think I might use a Lindburg 64 dodge for the Donor kit
