There is a seam ahead of the cowl below the windshield and down the sides, not sure if the whole nose comes off or not.

I just used a seat, steering wheel, and dash from my parts boxes. Flat sheet of styrene for a floor. No door panels. Kind of crude, but it displays well enough to suit me. GM Heritage didn't have a picture but they thought the whole thing tilts forward. The upper part hides a compartment above the engine. mchook
If the doors on the sides & engine cover is the only way to the engine make it a tilt cab. That's what I did when I built mine. I found a few pics. 1st is a 38 & shows the front has been restored but not open so I'm not sure it does. 2nd is a 40 GMC with open hood. 3rd & 4th is what I did with mine. I hope it helps, good luck & I can't wait to see more.

landman
All indications (read opinions) are that the hood tilts forward. So I started scribing.

Big John
I do LOVE the look of COE trucks. Having had a 70s Chevy van and trying to change spark plugs I can't imagine how much of a hassle it would be to work on the older ones. Here is a suggested paint job that was parked down the street a few years back.
