RIP Frau Blucher    (Young Frankenstein)

Nei eieieieieiei gh!

It took me a while to figure out why the horses always made a fuss when her name was mentioned.

She was good in so many things. Young Frankenstein will always be a highlight. Remember she used to be on the Mary Tyler Moore show back when too.

Glad she lived a good long life.

I know her best as Phyliss on the Mary Tyler Moore show. She was always my least favorite character, but I suppose she wasn't supposed to be likable. B)

Living to 94 years of age isnt a bad deal~ Good for her !!!

Its a toss up for me which performance I liked the best , her role in The Last Picture Show as Ruth Popper but I'd say her role as 'Grandma' in Bad Santa......

I've seen her on episodes of Perry Mason, and either original Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents (or both).

"Get me to that bus stop and forget you ever saw me!"  Leachman's first movie part was the bonkers 1955 film-noir "Kiss Me Deadly," directed by Robert Aldrich.  TCM shows it pretty often and it is DEFINITELY worth watching. Lots of vintage cars.  Ralph Meeker tools around in a '54 Corvette. His friend owns a garage specializing in foreign cars, so lots of MG's, Triumphs etc. are sitting around.  Also many scenes of pre-freeway Los Angeles, especially the old Bunker Hill district with its former mansions cut up into seedy boarding houses.
