Paul Waymouth Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I’ve been gathering old and extra bits and pieces from kits for a while now, always thinking they’d be useful for a garage diorama. I wanted to go for the older style run down barn garage, and really wanted to include a 1/24 Jaguar model that my late father built many years ago. So this is a bit of a nod to him, and his creativity and inspiration for me to continue modelling. I made the walls from plasterboard, timber framework is stained balsa wood and the garage floor is MDF.
crazyjim Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Fantastic dio. Can't believe all the little details you've added.
iamsuperdan Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Love it. Was going to comment specifically on a couple of features, but then the list of features I wanted to give props for got too big. Excellent work.
89AKurt Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Fabulous diorama! I like the wall texture, for starters. Will it be in a glass case?
Anglia105E Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 This diorama of yours really works, Paul....... those garage doors are so realistic, and as another member commented, there are too many good features to list here. The Jaguar MK II is an excellent model car, and there are some nice Porsche cars in there also. You seem to have the lighting setup sorted..... both from inside and outside the garage building. David
kilrathy10 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Excellent work on this one, Bro... Awesome...
Bainford Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Beautiful dio! Very authentic. So many great, small details. Very well done!
misterNNL Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 I particularly like the partially lit photos. It adds an extra layer of realism to an already amazing garage dio.
Paul Waymouth Posted February 4, 2021 Author Posted February 4, 2021 Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive feedback!
Slimguy Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Exceptional work Paul...so much detail that looks spot on real.
