crazyjim Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Just finished this '48 Chevy sedan delivery in HOK cinnamon pearl. It's lowered and tubbed; big block Chevy engine is wired & plumbed; front & rear rolled pans; custom interior with polished aluminum steering column w/turn signal lever; aluminum exhaust system; and I cut out a moon roof.
espo Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Beautiful looking paint work and I like the interior mods. These are great kits, I did the Aero Sedan last year in more of a Low Rider fashion. The roll pans really lighten the look of the body.
doorsovdoon Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Looks great, nice colour like a burnt orange. I like the wood ply flooring in the back too, nice touch.
Dave72 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Very nice looking build! Interior, paint, and details all look great!
alan barton Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 That colour looks fantastic. I really do need to build mine - thanks for the inspiration. Cheers Alan
crazyjim Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 Thank you David, Gareth, Craig, Dave, and Alan. This was my first time using Tru-Color paint for an interior by air brushing the interior tub and the inside of the body. I'll be using it more since the Model Master line of paint is gone. That's going to hurt too.
slusher Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Gorgeous 48 Jim, top notch interior work Sir!
BeakDoc Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Awesome build as usual, Jim! I’ve always admired your paint work and finishes, but there’s something about this one, that I cannot put a finger on, that feels above and beyond. Did you use a new (to you) product or technique?
crazyjim Posted February 12, 2021 Author Posted February 12, 2021 Thank you Carl and Chris. Same HOK paint and Iwata air brush. maybe I just got lucky this time.
Grumpa Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Very cool build Jim! I love the color and your choice of wheels! Really nice!
Hmann68 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 One of your best yet! Just beautiful ? Love the paint work!
cobraman Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 You got this one past me ! Looks very good. You did a fine job .
crazyjim Posted February 17, 2021 Author Posted February 17, 2021 Thank you Mark, Christopher, and Ray. Sorry for the delay but I'm still not getting email notifications on posts.
Koellefornia Kid Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Cool! Never thought this kind of rolling stock would look good on this kit but it does!
