Rockford Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Another barnstormer Gareth, like the colour. Looking forward to seeing this come together.

doorsovdoon Posted February 24, 2021 Author Posted February 24, 2021 Cheers guys. Got the engine finished up and painted the door cards. Really nice detailed kit this.
doorsovdoon Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Got some more done today, colour combo looks better than I expected. Wheels are held with those small pins, usually a pain and end up with wonky wheels but these are nice tight fit with very little wobble. Getting close to finishing this one up:)
espo Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Great looking interior and I like how you did the chassis.
dino246gt Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Wow, your interior really pops! Nice job!!
doorsovdoon Posted February 27, 2021 Author Posted February 27, 2021 Thanks, guys. Finished the interior structure today, just the seats left to put in. Of all the newer kits I've built this is probably the nicest one I've worked with, no fit issues, clear instructions, and everything fits together very well.
doorsovdoon Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 Cheers, guys. Got the glass in last night and done the foiling, did a bit of detailing and clipped it all together, she's done! What a great little kit, no fit issues and very nicely detailed. The back wheel pins did come loose which gave the appearance of collapsed wheel bearings. I couldn't fit them back tightly enough without dismantling the wheel rims from the back of the hubs so decided to permanently glue them to the axle. I didn't use the decals for the gold side trim, instead I used a chocolate wrapper with a texture on it. I'll post more pics in completed section but again the weather is against me so will probably be indoor shots again in front of a picture.
GeeBee Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Superb build, I like your idea of using the chocolate wrapping for the gold trim, I've got a few of these in the stash, I'll be starting one as soon as I've decided on the colour scheme.
David G. Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Beautiful work on this one! Sweet color combination. David G.

doorsovdoon Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 It's Ferrero Rocher, a popular Christmas stocking filler in the UK as they're too flipping expensive to buy as an occasional treat! Luckily there is enough wrappers in them to do lots of cars.
