I have started this as a challenge build on Facebook and I thought that I would share it here too. On Facebook there is a 4x4 challenge and all the moderator requires is that all four wheels are driven, so this is my entry, I’ve always wanted to do this and now I found the excuse.

The inspiration for this build is the Summit Racing Quadradeuce. I am using the Revell 32 5 window coupe. The roof has been chopped. The frame’s wheelbase has been extended to roughly 114”, the rear of the frame has been modified too. Front A-arm suspension and rear differential & suspension is from the Smooster kit. The front differential and transfer case is from the AMT 97 Chevy Blazer. The engine is from the Revell 32. The front hood nose piece is from the 37 Ford Pickup (the latest release).
Hope that y’all enjoy, cheers.

Never knew about the full size 4wd Deuce- this looks very interesting- I will follow! Any thoughts yet on performance mods to the engine?

Paul, I don’t have any idea for engine mods. The 5.0 liter is out of the box and I’ve all the mechanicals to fit. I’ve been racking my brain for intake and carbs or fuel injection of some type. No idea.

This looks like a really cool project, I may steal the front hood treatment for a future lakester build

Steal away, I kinda borrowed the front nose idea from Kit Karson anyway - sort of.

Replicas and Miniatures Of Md does an extremely nicely done 4 weber intake for that engine (don't mind my oversize fuel lines)

I'll be following along on this one and living vicariously through your build. I have also wanted to build an all wheel drive deuce myself, but don't know if I'll ever get to it.

A bit of an update: I got the hood sides glued up and I’m doing some finish up body work. I have finally settled on an intake setup for the small block Ford. Once again after a bit of mocking things up the Latham blower and carbs will fit inside the hood. Cheers

First coat of primer, not looking too bad. I have some very minor things to do. I do need to think of paint color(s).

This is awesome! I had forgotten about the Quadraduece. I really like that front end treatment with the '38 pickup grille. I was looking at one a few days ago and thinking about where it could be used. I'm looking forward to seeing more. -RRR

Well I got my first color on the 32 Tamiya Italian Red over Duplicolor grey primer and after two coats of the color I had to do a bit of color sanding this evening. Not sure what to do, I might try a third or fourth coats. Oh well, keep smiling everyone.

That cluttered work bench would make me feel right at home.

Update: My apologies for not keeping things updated. I have been rather busy. The first three phots is what I had to modify for CD a radiator. A Revell 29 Model A gave up its radiator shell and the shortened radiator for the optional channeled rod were modified to fit inside the hood. The last photo shows the painting process so far. I have interior to think of.

Thanks for all the kind words Y’all.

Cheers

32 Ford AWD Update: Well how things change in 24 hours. I couldn’t get the Latham blower to sit right, after all my trickery it would not sit right - interference with the distributor even after scratch building a remote drive (yes they do exist). After a bit of messing around I looked in the Revell 32 Ford box and I found the intake and rest of the EFI setup. Hmmm - it doesn’t look too bad. Yup I’ll keep it. Hoping that y’all weekend went well. Cheers

32 Ford AWD Update:
I finally got the drivetrain in, it took me quite a bit of planning before getting things to this stage. My brake master cylinder and exhaust will work out although not quite in the way I am hoping. I’ve got a set of wheels and tires worked out but disc brakes are a bit of a problem. But things will work out. I might sidestep to the interior for a bit.
Thanks for looking, keeping smiling.?
