Beamerman Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Hi Guys, as some other guys here i´m also working on a wagon...one of the last kits that i started in 2003 when i ended the hobby for some years...time to finish it... I will built it out of the box except for Pegasus wheels, lowered front axle, aluminium oilfilter, some wiring and a flocked floor... Engine is painted Testors chevy engine red, interieur tamiy dark grey. Body will be painted Mclaren Orange... Thanks for watching...stay healthy Cheers!
espo Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Good color combinatio. I like your jig for setting up your tires.
Spottedlaurel Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 A great start there, look forward to seeing it progress. I enjoyed building one of these last year, it went together really nicely.
TransAmMike Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Great start on that "Beamerman". Nice looking 396 engine?

Thank you...allways had trouble with the right stance so i find an article in an old model car building book which inspired me to build a magnet tool to fit aftermarket wheels better... 23 hours ago, Spottedlaurel said: A great start there, look forward to seeing it progress. Spottedlaurel Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Nice progress! All the best Chevelle wagons are yellow......... 1:25 Revell 1966 Chevelle Wagon kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
Rodent Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I don't know why I never got one of these. I hope Revell reissues it soon. It's a favorite subject and a very nice build!
Steve H Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Awesome looking wagon. I like the detail paint on the wheels. Nice clean build. Cheers, Steve

I hope you haven't glued the differential in place yet. Unless you're going with some side exhaust it can be real hard to get the exhaust pipes installed with the differential in place. I like the stance and the way you have detailed the wheels.
Beamerman Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Thank you all! @espo yes you are absolutly right. I can´t count how much this happens in my model building life...but i cut of the rearpipe from the muffler and could handle it... I hope to get this nice thing ready tomorrow...more to come in the under glass topic... Chhers!

Dave72 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Very nice build! Paint looks great and the detail you did on the wheels really adds to it!
espo Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 The exhaust looks fine and no one would ever know you had to cut it. I'll have to try that the next time I forget as well.
