leafsprings Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 (edited) Combined the Revell '56 Ford with the Monogram Mack pumper to create the mini pumper. Went together pretty easily with a few modifications. Used the AMT Ford pickup 1 ton frame as the foundation and added Rookie Resin 1 ton I beam front axle with springs and shocks, and Scene Unlimited 6 lug dually wheels and tires. Extra left over parts were Allison automatic from a AMT Ford C 600 and siren, side steps and front tow hooks from the AMT ALF pumper kit. Fire extinguishers on rear bumper and hoses were from aftermarket resin sellers. Edited April 10, 2021 by leafsprings
bill lanfear Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Turned out great Tom! Lots and lots of great detail work! The conversions are all very well done!
Tom Geiger Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Really neat! I have two of the pumper kits set aside for such a build! The kits were part of Ollie’s $9.99 blowout around Christmas time.
BIGTRUCK Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 (edited) Really a great looking build .It has a fantastic look. Well done. Edited April 12, 2021 by BIGTRUCK
David G. Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Great mash-up, very well done! I saw parts of the WIP on this but lost track of it. I'm glad to see it finished. David G
ChrisR Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Looks great! Pity the Rookie Resin goodies is no longer available!
NOBLNG Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 That turned out great! It looks like those two kits were meant to go together.?
thatz4u Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Nice work, well done, sorta reminds me of the old Tonka Pumpers from the mid 50's...
Chuckyg1 Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Followed the WIP. Great to see it finished. I amazed at how well the two scaled blend together. It came out really well.
leafsprings Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 Thanks for all the comments. It was a fun build, I look forward to seeing other mini pumper being created, just about any 1/25 pickup cab should work.
