Finished this today . Not too happy with it but here it is . Painted with Tamiya Pearl Blue and Tamiya Pearl Yellow and clear . Aftermarket decals . Black interior . Built using only parts in box except for decals . Did not like the instructions and it was a battle to get the body onto the chassis . Kit issue , me issue ??

Wow! You build’em FAST! Came out beautiful too! Interesting how the darker lower half seems to reduce the “funny-ness” of the altered wheel base, at least to my eyes. Dog dish caps on the rear may also contribute to making it look a little less radical. I have not yet built this AWB kit, only the Moebius stock wheel base Melrose Missile which assembled pretty easily. The plastic injector stacks look pretty good on your build, did you have to do anything special to clean them up and align them?

Thanks John. The injectors were simple . They are only two pieces. Two sets of four already linked together.

Looks great!

What does the red coloring on the stack "mouths" represent?

Also, what is the white square on the fender well?

Just curious.

Like the color scheme too.

Thanks guys !  I just added clear red to the injectors to add color. As for the white square, it is a hole molded in the fender. What your seeing is the white board the car is sitting on.

Not happy, you say,,,,,boy, car looks mighty tough to me....nice to see one built with your own ideas for paint and decals....love the name BTW.....Ray, did you spray the Tamiya yellow pearl over the white plastic, or was there primer or a base coat of some type.....best, Ace...

Thanks Ace. If I remember right I primed the body with gray primer. I should have used white . The yellow would have looked better.

Cobraman, nice work. Good subject matter. I've always loved '60's gassers and A/FX cars in real life. I was inspired to build my own model of an A/FX dragster based on a '63 Galaxie I recently bought off Ebay. I've now finished major body, interior and chassis mods (hopefully I'll stick with it to the finish).
