Starting another kit while I'm still working on my 65 Impala. I love the trucks so on this one I wanted to try the Tamiya lacquer paint.  I painted the body with Tamiya TS-10 French Blue, top with TS-26 Pure White, and cleared it with Tamiya TS-13 Clear.  This is still early on so not sure where I'm headed with this one.  I have an extra 56 Ford Foose truck kit I could rob some parts or I could just go box stock.  To early to know for sure.  Just thought I'd throw this out there.

nice paint. I put raised letter tire steel wheels and baby moons on mine.  I built it last year never took a picture of it…

Thanks fellows.  I'll have to dig into my spare parts and see just what wheels & tires I have and what will look good.

I pulled the wheels and tires out of my 56 Foose pickup kit to do a mock up on my 60 Chevy.  It's hard to tell from the pic but one of the tires is a little to big for the wheel.  Any way to shrink tires?

Pulled the box out taking a look at the engine parts and instructions in preparation for starting this build.  Also taking another look at the wheel options that I may have.  The only wheels I have that would look good are like I originally thought.....the 56 Pickup Foose wheels.  I'm not going to change to much on this one.  Wheels and maybe a 4 barrel carb swap and chrome air cleaner.

I did a little mock up to get a better look at what this little grocery getter might look like with the Foose wheels.  I think I like it.

Thanks Dave.  The body has only been painted, no polish yet.  Yup, dress those wheels up a little and I think it's going to be a looker.

Double check your Foose wheels and tires.. I discovered the hard way that there are different wheels / tires for front vs back.

Evil thought- don’t you have a whole spare Foose chassis? ?

Thanks Tom.  I will check the wheels and tire out.  I do have the Foose Chassis.  Think the 60 will fit the Foose chassis good enough to use?

Good call on the wheels and tires Tom.  That's what is was.  Didn't even think to check the instructions.  Still having rookie mistakes ☺

Great! Glad to help!  And you know how I figured it out!  ?

Looking good. I had the same problem with the wheels and tires in the 65 stepside. They are different sizes for the front and rear, but you can barely tell by looking, only found out when I was mounting the tires on the wheels.

I got around to polishing the body this morning.  I used Novus #2 & #3 then Meguiar's Mirror Glaze.
