Dave Ambrose Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Happy father's day to all the dads out there. I hope you're getting to enjoy the weekend with your kids.
Snake45 Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Just now, Miatatom said: It's the hardest job I ever had. ? And most thankless, too.
slusher Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 When our kids are small they step on our feet when their grown they step on our hearts.. my boys is my greatest accomplishment.
OldTrucker Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Our daughter who is now 50 hasn't talked to us in over three years, has substance abuse problems and we are to blame according to her. Our three sons are all doing good, the oldest finally got his life together in the last 7 years. The youngest two (twins have pretty much worked for the same company since high school graduation in 1999 doing interior trim work. One is a supervisor now. This week is always rough for us tough as it is the week we lost Isaac,(my avatar picture) our grandson in 2015, the day before Father's Day. His Mom's birthday was days before.
slusher Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and grandfathers we have on our forum. I wish you a wonderful day.
misterNNL Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Both of our sons are blessIngs in our lives.our lives are so much richer and fuller with them in it.
HomerS Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Our neighbor two doors down and I have a pact.....if one catches the other mowing the grass in black socks and sandals, sniper rifle and head shot! My dad passed away four years ago from dementia. My oldest son just graduated college (BA) debt free and the other son starts high school in the fall. There is a magnum of champagne in the downstairs fridge when the younger one is out of the local school system (it's not him....it's the new way of learning that I just don't understand). I'm also stepdad to four furry ones who are currently crashed in the living room snoring as the doggie Xanax only does so much to help them get through the storms of last night.
Snake45 Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 From my three kids, I got one card and one phone call. This is exactly one card MORE than I've gotten from them in the previous three years, so things are looking up!
bamadon Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 I heard from all six of our kids, both biological and step. Then taken to dinner by the local daughter at our favorite Italian restaurant. all in all a pretty good day. Don
