Can-Con Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 I have a bunch of the Revell '32 Fords but haven't actually built one yet. Thought I'd give this style top chop a try. Took about 2 scale inches out. Not sure where this will be going though. Probably build this one fenderless but it's still not even a fully formed idea yet. There's no filler in it yet but you can see a couple spots where I wasn't careful in my cutting and had to add some sheet plastic to fill a couple gaps.
NOBLNG Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Looks like a nice clean chop to me! ? I too suffer from a lack of a concrete plan for most of my builds. Looking forward to seeing the developments.?
Can-Con Posted August 29, 2021 Author Posted August 29, 2021 Did some work on this recently and got the paint on today. Decided to keep it simple and not deviate too much from what's in the box. Going for a '90s look. Duplicolpr torch red overall with dullcoat on the interior. HOK "blue blood red" on the body panels. Gave it another 3 coats after the pics were taken. The hood sides are from the roadster kit. Wheels are from the AMT street machine version of the '68 Elcamino. The plating happened to be bad on the kit I had so the wheels look like a satin finish. Just what I wanted for the " '90s look".
Zippi Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 The chop looks nice and the color looks great as well.
