BIGTRUCK Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Starting this build today of J/F resin 50s or early 60s White cabover. I'm using a Ford C series cut down chassis and the closest interior is from the C series also. Had to narrow it some but I'm liking the fit. Engine looks like the problem now because of motor height , but I also said that about finding an interior
Warren D Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 I'll be interested to see how you do this. I used the Lindberg Dodge chassis, engine and interior for my JF White 3000.
doorsovdoon Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 That's a sweet looking cab. Going to be great looking build.
BIGTRUCK Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 (edited) Put the interior shell back together after narrowing and changed the Ford dash to look closer to the White 3000 dash and narrow to fit interior. Changed the tire wheel combo to a resin older style tire/wheel . I also decided on a flat bed style straight truck instead of a tractor. The flat bed base will be covered with wood planks and maybe make sides, this one will take awhile, plus I need to get 2 steer tires to match the rears, and since the chassis was from a glue bomb build I still have plenty of clean up..? BIGTRUCK Posted July 30, 2021 Author Posted July 30, 2021 (edited) Got this old White up on the tires . The cab needs to come down a little which is no problem. The interior is where I spent the most time but now I can do the final sanding and refit into the cab. I also noticed the windshield may need to be mounted from the outside which means making some window trim. The bed will be a farm style stake bed. Edited July 30, 2021 by BIGTRUCK

BIGTRUCK Posted September 5, 2021 Author Posted September 5, 2021 Only slight progress on this old White, the bed is close to being done just need to make some sort of sides and bulk head. Interior just needs final sanding to smooth it out then add some door detail. I also need a double seat for the passenger side.
gotnitro? Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Really like your plan, this old White looks perfect as a flatbed
MeatMan Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 (edited) Awesome work on that White. I did a custom one early in the year and didn't try to go correct interior. You're nailing it! Edited September 14, 2021 by MeatMan

BIGTRUCK Posted May 5, 2022 Author Posted May 5, 2022 Its been about 8 months since I did anything to this build, time to get it moving along again. Nothing stays on the original build course over time with me, now the rear area has been re thought . The glass is the next step before final fitting of the interior tub. Body sides and tail gate are spare parts from the Monogram '26 Mack Stake body cut to fit.
Mopar - D Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Nice update on the rear with the sides and tail gate Ken.
BIGTRUCK Posted May 9, 2022 Author Posted May 9, 2022 The White has some color on it now and the interior is done. The wood for the stake bed is next, then the front glass. The way it looks I will need to mount the windshield from the outside or it will set in deep. Making the trim for the windshield is another task but making the trim in multiple pieces looks the easiest. All the other glass is straight forward.
