CarlR Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 (edited) This was a combination of the Revell 1929 model A roadster and 1932 sedan. Where the engine originated from remains a mystery but it's a large block so I had to relocate the engine mounts on the frame which, in turn, made it necessary to move the front axle forward. The front axle was also lowered but in spite of several clearance checks I didn't realize that I'd overdone it until final assembly and it was too late to correct. The sedan body was also lowered which made a lot of alterations to the rear interior and rear suspension necessary. This was the most challenging modification to a kit that I have attempted and a lot of my solutions wouldn't pass close inspection but the main thing is I enjoyed it and am pleased with how it turned out. It certainly wouldn't pass muster in the real world but in my dream world, I'm cruisin' in style! Edited July 7, 2021 by CarlR attachments weren't visible on original post
oldnslow Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Nice looking sedan , yep , really a cool cruise . Watch out for those reflectors on the highway , they'll definitely take out the oil pan . ?
SickBoy Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Just a fantastic old hot rod, I really like the look of the steelie wheels. Great job Carl!
espo Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Great looking Hot Rod. Nice paint finish and I like the steel wheels. The engine looks like a Chevy big block.
larman Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Cool! Nice little hot rod. Good stance and big block power, what's not to like?
Koellefornia Kid Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Old school, I love it! Nice decal on the rear axle! ?
