Mine the body was so warped you couldn't get the hatch to fit right. If you did. Then the ends of the front fenders would not line up. Nothing to hold the back of the hood on. I made little tabs. The only thing holding the engine in place was the part on the transmission and the radiator hose. Then try and get the warped body to fit on the chassis is a challenge. if you got it to fit. The front grill or hatch would pop off again. I think the Palmer kits are better LOL.

Stopped at one of my local Wal-Mart's on the way to work this morning (Schererville, IN).  Finally had a Round 2 display set up as an island in the main back isle. About 2/3 still there.  Seemed like a good selection still.  No Grumpy's Vega, Nova wagon, or '64 Cutlass convertible though.

Been wanting one of the GMC Jimmys, though not enough to pay MSRP.  Scored that one and picked up another '69 "Torino" Cobra, each for $19.99.  Thought about the '32 Ford Coke sedan delivery, but for $24.97 it's not a "gotta have it" kit.

That’s good to know about - I wonder if the Valpo Walmart has got a display too?  I’ve been meaning to check them (and the local Meijer - they’re almost across the street from each other)

Worth popping in to see.  I don't get out to Valpo much, but Merrillville, Schererville, and the south Hammond (Cabela's) store are all in my orbit.  This is the first I've found them anywhere, but I plan to see if the others have gotten them too.  I'd like to get one more of the Grumpy's Vega.

Last time I checked the Merrillville Meijer, they had nothing.

First sighting, for me anyway. I went to the local Wally World to get a cabin filter for our Charger. They seem to have the best price around often less than the big name auto parts stores when they are having a sale. I was leaving and noticed a display across the isle from the toy section. The only real price advantage seemed to be on any Coke issued models. At least there is hope that they may stock a wider selection in the future.

Stopped by my local Walmart this past Thursday night and found there are no model kits at all in the Clearance aisle. They got cleaned out pretty quick once they found out they were $7 a pop. No surprise there.

Stopped in one of my local Walmart’s yesterday (have 6 within 15 minutes drive of me) and it had just been opened. I grabbed 2 Grumpy Vegas, an AMT 70 Chevelle, and all 3 of the AMT garage scene kits for $20 each. It had a lot of kits but not a lot that interested me. The Coke kits are way overpriced IMHO for re-releases of older kits.

You must be in the South. I think you can throw a rock from one Walmart to another. 
Like in Seattle, you can, in some places, sit in one Starbucks and see another. There is even one corner with 2

Fenton, Mi ,(off Owen road)had the Round 2 display Monday, by Tuesday it was bumped offf the main aisle and kits regulated to the shelves in the toy section. All Coke trucks and cars left. No 64 Olds , 63 Chev wagon, or Grumpy's Vega.?

One store near me seems to have restocked with an even bigger kit display! I really don't see them putting them on clearance anytime soon around  here.

Walmart at New Hudson, Mi off I-96, has the Round 2 display. It has been regulated to the Toy aisle though. No Nova wagons, Grumpy's Vega or  1964 Oldsmobiles. Just Coke stuff left! enjoy and happy hunting!
