Limeyglue Posted October 7, 2021 Author Posted October 7, 2021 Thanks guys. I will have the interior in the main colour tonight and then prepping the body for final primer coat 1
alan barton Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Wow- that chassis is razor sharp! I would be perfectly happy with that under any of my models. Might even pinch the colour scheme for a future project. I can't wait to see the finished coupe, I can just tell it is going to be very nice! Cheers Alan
Limeyglue Posted October 8, 2021 Author Posted October 8, 2021 Thanks guys the colour was a bit of an experiment so I'm pleased how it turned out. It really pops in the right light
Draggon Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 That chassis looks great! Perfect choice on the wheels/tires, and oooo that color!
TransAmMike Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Just looked in on this. You are killing this Lee, great job!!
Limeyglue Posted October 9, 2021 Author Posted October 9, 2021 Thanks guys. Really enjoying the build
Limeyglue Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 Small update. Now got the body masked for the second colour. Hopefully have the rest of the paint done by the weekend Thanks for looking Lee 1
alan barton Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Love the panel paint from back in the day. Can't wait to see this sparkle! Cheers Alan
espo Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 I like your plan for the paint work. I noticed one thing you might want to consider if you haven't already. On the rear deck lid seam it looks like some of the spray may get under your tape where the deck lid meets the body panel.

I like to go round and check all my tape before I paint
Limeyglue Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Small update. Got the paint sorted. Tamiya clear red over metallic grey. Need to let it sit for a while before I put the clear on. Thanks for looking Lee.
krassandbernie Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 I just stumbled upon your thread and really like what I'm seeing........even before I saw the body painted! That chassis is a work of art by itself! It's nice seeing stuff I produce actually being built! It seems like most of it just ends up in someone's closet or it's built but never shared on-line or taken to a model show.

The quality is brilliant
Limeyglue Posted October 27, 2021 Author Posted October 27, 2021 Update. Got the interior finished up and hopefully will have the A finished this weekend so the next post will be in the completed section. Thanks for looking Lee
OldNYJim Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 I'm just excited to see that paintjob with the masks removed! Interior looks great too - where did you get the gauge decals? Are those from the Revell kit?
Chuckyg1 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Wow, the paint looks awesome. This just keeps getting better.
