Spooky 52 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 I built this show winner, '55- '57 Chevy in 1993 as a replica of 1:1 car from my high school days (1967). The guy who owned was a Junior in Auto shop. 1
bisc63 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Sweet! I wonder how many will look at this and not realize what's happened to this car?! It solves the one weak spot in the '57 design (IMHO), and that is the heavy look of the chrome-catfish-lip bumper. Thanks for sharing!
carbuilder1950 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 That's really cool. It took me a moment to figure out what you did. Very subtle and well executed. I like the conversion and the look of it. Your pretty sneeky ?.

That's easily enough fixed. Unbolt it and drag it behind the garage, or to the swap meet, or throw it in the parts box, depending on what scale you're working in.
Zippi Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Nice looking ride. You gotta have the fuzzy dice.
Rbray47 Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Nice! I remember seeing a pic of this build in one of those old SAE annuals or what have you, back in the 90s.
Spooky 52 Posted September 13, 2021 Author Posted September 13, 2021 Thanks for the positive comments. If anybody is interested, I can show you what I did with the left-over parts from that build.
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Two cool cars blended together into something even more cool! Really like that!
Spooky 52 Posted September 13, 2021 Author Posted September 13, 2021 This is what happened to the left over parts. The decals, I made myself.
Snake45 Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 I like that one even better! It really works! (Now I might have to build one myself.) VERY well done and model on!
