This is by far one of the best model kits I have ever bought.  It may look complicated, but it was actually easy to assemble.  The full color instruction manual was great as well.  The kit comes out beautifully.  If Revell could pump out models like this the way Round 2 pumps out models every month; Revell would have all my business.  This kit knocks it out the park.

My only real issues were  the kit being molded in different colors instead of white, a minor fit issue withe the lower half, and I'd have liked to see grill that the later models had.

Over all, though, it's a beautiful kit.

I agree with you Eric on this new tool XKE roadster, it approaches Tamiya quality IMO. I believe this is a series 1 3.8 L which was produced from ‘62 -‘64. You did a beautiful job on your build and I particularly like all the correct paint colors and details you included under the hood and in the interior. I just finished a red one for my wife and am tempted to pick up another one to finish in metallic blue for me, it was that much fun to build. Too bad Revell didn’t get the front windshield height right on the coupe version of this new kit (looks like they used the shorter roadster window on the coupe).

Nice Jaguar!

Bill - the new Revell Jaguar E-types are 1962 (Series 1), you can tell this by the sunken footwells and aluminium trim on in the interior.  The decal sheet has 1961 registration plates but they are incorrect.

Very nice Jag. Does anyone know what year it represents? My stepmom had a light green 71 with the V12.

Looks good...I like the dark green and tan combo.   It is interesting, I don't think anyone has made a V12 E-Type in scale?  One of the later Series III V12 versions would be nice to see in 1/24th.
