70 Sting Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 @alexis They certainly didn't have the crazy range of colours we have today. Brown/bronze was the one that stood out to me and X-34 was the closest match I could find. I forgot the brake lights as they weren't in the instructions, just added them this morning.
Phirewriter Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Beautifully done! As stated in a number of replies, your color choices are spot on and the quality of the finish is very nice as well. I hope the roadster sold well enough for Round2 that they would consider reissuing the '32 Chrysler Imperial with the Gangbusters accessories. 1
70 Sting Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) @Phirewriter 2 of my local hobby shops have them in stock. I chose not to build the motorcycle and gangsters from mine at this time. Edited October 4, 2021 by 70 Sting
Phirewriter Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Should have stated the Imperial sedan convertible/phaeton version.
David G. Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 It looks fantastic! Great color combination, nice clean build, a very classy looking model. David G. 1

All Thumbs Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 I know this is an older post, but I'm new to this site and have a question about this very model. I'm trying to find a green paint color to match a real 1932 Chrysler I found online. See URL below. I don't know how to make the pictures a jpeg. The closest I've found is Krylon matte Sea Green, but it seems the WHOLE country is out of that. Any ideas? I couldn't find the color name or number for the real car. Thank you. https://hymanltd.com/vehicles/6844-1932-chrysler-cl-imperial-convertible-sedan/

Also, for future reference, there is a forum section for "Model Building Questions and Answers", you'll get more responses by posting general questions like this there. Here's a link: https://mcwfinishes.com/shop/ols/categories/1930-1960-chrysler-corp?page=3 That's a rippin' color combo on your link! I wonder how close to factory that is? They must have paid big money for the photo session for the seamless background. I've done some research on the colors that were used by the factory, there's plenty of sites that you can look at. hth Doc
