Spure Cutters-Dull

The spure cutters I have  have been with me since 2002. Recently, I noticed they squish the spure into..they don't cut crisply and cleanly as they used to.

Can they be sharpened or should I purchase a new pair.

Time for a new pair. Before paying "hobby prices," see what's available in the nail care sections of your local Walmart, drugstores, even Dollar Generals. You might be surprised.

You can sharpen them. I use a file to sharpen mine. I've had the same pair since '00.

Good quality cuticle trimmers available from beauty supply store. They cut flush.

You could try, but like Snake said, they can be found pretty cheap in places. I got this pair at Princess Auto for under 10 bucks. They are sharp and will even clip masking tape cleanly.

Greg if you have ever sharpened a knife you can sharpen these. Now if you have nick's in the edge, it will still work but you might as well just buy a new pair.

I'd hang onto the old nicked ones for when you're cutting something like metal pins or what ever else you did to nick them in the first place.

I1ll sharpen these but I will also check into the local beauty supply houses offerings.
