Next up on my cutting mat.....

The first car I ever owned.
Revell 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible with a 1970 AMT Monte Carlo donor body to convert the Olds convertible to a Hardtop.
Still a lot of putty and sanding to do, but it's getting there......

The roof conversion looked close enough to spray primer down to bring out any imperfections in my body work.....looks like I got a little more bodywork to do.

Other than that, I'm still very pleased with how this Oldsmobile is coming along.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys. 👍20211018_130912.thumb.jpg.2f278320d6a3b480a7c9b857aa857888.jpg

Hi Derek, engine looks really nice. Question if I may, tell me about the Elmers clear glue. I have been using embossing powder and thinned white glue for my “carpet”. Is the clear glue thinner than the white glue? Keep up the nice work sir.

Cheers, Steve

I brush the clear Elmer's glue right out of the bottle without thinning it.

A lot of people don't like the clear glue because they say it isn't as strong as white glue and obviously paint.

For me, it's just personal preference....

I want to try the Elmer's white glue just to see if there really is a difference.

Thanks for the great words of encouragement 👍

Nice work on a very ambitious project!

I love the woodgrain inlays.

Thanks 🙏

Those are decals that come with the kit.

I had to cut them into 2 pieces at the door seam because they were a little short.

But the are very nicely printed for stock decals.
