Mattilacken Posted November 6, 2024 Author Posted November 6, 2024 I believe the hood is done. Some sanding on the trunk and I hope to go to primer tomorrow! Fingers crossed! I wanted the hood to look almost like an Stock hood but with more attitude kind of a performance version I think I nailed it with stacking an other as hood on top of the other one ?

Mattilacken Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 Detailing progress, seats are taking shape. And so are the plumbing.. you might not want the fuel lines that close to the driveshaft but i thought of that after ? 3
Mattilacken Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 While working on the plumbing the water pump broke as well as the steering pump. So I had to replace them with remans 😉 my rad and IC had to come out so you can see the wires going to the fans. 4
Mattilacken Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 Paint it black! First paint is on. 3
David G. Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I'm not sure how I missed this one but now that I've found it and I'm all caught up, all I can say is... Wow Anton! You have some amazing mods going on with this! More than just mods, it's a complete overhaul, like a 1:1 Pro Street. Excellent work so far, great looking pant too. David G.

Thanks allot David! Yes its a complete overhaul! I did a quick sum up of stock Impala parts used and it ended up with: Glass, Body, hood, lights, door cards, dash and rear seat. and thats it! I am now wetsanding the paint since i got a bunch of pin holes in the paint.
Mattilacken Posted December 26, 2024 Author Posted December 26, 2024 Got my decals printed after getting the ink cleaned and some new cartridges installed. The Epson printer does well and it’s still 10+ years old, just the ink getting expensive due to corporate bull. 🐂 installed some of the smaller ones, my warning sign, much like what the Blackout SS had except for the message. Also installed my seat belt decals, I like the small ones I printed for the lap belts, wish I printed more of those. 2

Your warning decal is hilarious.
David G. Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 The interior bits are looking great! Love the warning label too. David G.
Mattilacken Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Paint is progressing, hand painted the bow tie after several failed attempts with decals. I am trying to decide if I should put the impala emblem on the d pillar, it’s a home made decal. 2
CG63 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I like where you're going with this one. I'm a big prostreet fan. This one won me a trophy at the 2013 Mid Atlantic NNL's. 2

Hehe yes it’s a cool addition;-) made some work on the paintjob, not as perfect as my red Porsche but it’s black so I think I am ok with it. Ran out of polish so I have to order more to get a better result. I could not resist so I started to put the mesh in. 2
Mattilacken Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 (edited) After another pass with the finishing compound and a layer of wax afterwards the paint look 9/10 in my opinion. Edited January 18 by Mattilacken 2
David G. Posted January 21 Posted January 21 The paint looks great Anton! I like the grille too. David G.
Mattilacken Posted Friday at 10:12 AM Author Posted Friday at 10:12 AM After some comments here on the board i decided to bring this one in the shop again. So was messing about with the new Garage backdropp and got to re familirize with the build:) and i decided to try to ad chrome with Bare metal foil instead of spraying Revell chrome. will see how that goes to night. Hers one of the pics.
David G. Posted Friday at 11:18 AM Posted Friday at 11:18 AM It's nice to see this one back in play. What part did you use the BMF on? David G. 1
