JerseeJerry55 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Hello all hope everyone’s well. Just seeing if anybody’s up for a BRBO 2022? Maybe this year I can actually follow through with a kit.
Bills72sj Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 I am in. I succeeded in 2020 but failed in 2021 (too ambitious of a project). However, I have plenty of subjects purchased the last couple of years to let me get SOMETHING to contribute. Sign me up.
Mopar - D Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 I’m in for another one. I just don’t know what I’m going to build yet.
JerseeJerry55 Posted December 12, 2021 Author Posted December 12, 2021 Choosing between the Revell USA KW W900 Aerodyne, and the AMT White Western Star. Both purchased within the last 10 days. Paint color choice being the biggest obstacle.
JerseeJerry55 Posted December 13, 2021 Author Posted December 13, 2021 Quick question. If I go with the Revell KW W900 I want to use a resin front visor I just got. Since I have never used a resin piece before I could use tips on preparation, priming/painting, and gluing it onto the cab. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Oldmopars Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I have several trucks in the stash. I have no idea what I will build, but I would be in again this year.
Sam I Am Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I really enjoy the builds, so count me in.
Bennyg Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 I’ll be surprised if I get the 2021 BRBO done. Would love a project for 2022. Something less ambitious might be the go. Moebius ProStar, AMT Autocar or AMT Transtar 4070A. Ben
iamsuperdan Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 I'd get in on 2022. And wouldn't bother doing any experimenting, which is why my 2021 entry has languished. Had some significant paint problems, and thus...not finished.

I am going to be trading the Western Star. Still on the fence about color(s). I know it will be narrowed down to a shade of Aqua, a Blue similar to the picture, a nice Green, or perhaps a color in the spectrum. Color choice is always the toughest for me to decide on.
Oldmopars Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 I think I have decided that I will build one of my Ford LN trucks as a Coca-Cola delivery truck. The kind with a box with roll up doors on the side. For local deliveries. Something like the picture.
Mopar - D Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Scott that’s going to be a very interesting build. Are you going to detail the back with opening slide panels?

As of right now, I plan to build it with one panel open and fill it with the coke bottles I have from other kits, and the rest will be closed so you can see the large logo on the sides. 1

gotnitro? Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Looking forward to everyone's planned builds ! Scott - that beverage delivery truck sounds great I'm sitting this one out, gotten distracted lately w shipbuilding for something different.
Jhedir6 Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 Ok I'm in. Likely wont get started till sometime in February but I have an idea.... Recently a 3D print file of this truck was uploaded and I bought the files to 3D print. I have not printed it as of yet, but the BRBO would be a good venue for it. The 3D print is not 100% like the actual truck, but it's close. I'll likely do my own version of it, but definitely not like the above pic. 3D print preview. Files available for purchase here if you have a printer and are interested. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/full-kit-volvo-iron-knight-inspired-racing-truck-07dez-01 2

I actually posted that very picture a couple of years back when I did the same thing. However I did mine with a 4270 IH. Same red fire theme. If you want I can send pictures of my build.

Oldmopars Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 (edited) May be easiest to just postthe link. No ROPS, but otherwise captures the idea. I had to use the F2674 as the 4070A had not been reisssued yet. Edited December 25, 2021 by Oldmopars
