Very nice build.  I really like the barn, too!  Details on that?

Thanks Johnathan,

The barn was made out of balsa and bass wood. The roofing is corrugated cardboard from a craft store. The weathering was made from washes and pastel chalk.Initially, I left one wall out to take some inside pictures, then I closed it up to put on the shelve. It makes a great set up for that kind of build.

Nice looking farm truck.  Great weathering and good looking barn.  You could haul a few hogs to market in that truck ☺

That looks great! What method are you using for the rust?

thanks Lee,

For this project, I used the salt method, where you lay a reddish brown base coat, I use lacquer then you lay salt over the area you want to  rust, you need to wet the area for the salt to stick.

when dry, just airbrush your top color, and remove the salt with a stiff brush once the paint is dry. I also use washes and pastel chalk to add texture. I hope this answer your question.

It did! I’ve seen videos of people doing this and I think I might try it next time I do a rust build. I’ve done dry brushing but never the salt method.
