For the build off I am going to (hopefully) FINALLY finish my matching pair of KW T600 and 5 car transporters. I built one of the trucks and both trailers years ago. The second KW got stalled when I decided to attempt LED lighting into the build. It became a daunting task beyond my skillset at the time. (it may still be). Anyway, I have started this in earnest in an attempt to get my matching pair complete.

Challenging build from what I hear, but you can wrangle it into shape. You got this. ?

Thanks Sam. My T600 came out pretty well except for being unable to open the hood very far.

Any updates Bill? I’m going to be following I have one of these in my stash to build some day.

Yes, I have been working on it. I got all the parts deflashed and worked on some assembly before painting.

Nice start. I battled this kit a number of years ago, spent what seems like forever doing body work on the sleeper, then paired it with another tough build, an AMT tanker…..

I have done no body work on this or my previous T600. Did you have fitment problems?

It was the sleeper, I didn’t like seams in it, seemed like it took forever to get it the way I liked the look of it.

Been making some progress intermittently. Chassis sub assembly finally painted. The engine and some other parts have been painted and put together as well. Added color to various lenses too.

Should be sweet! I've never seen one of these built before.

There's been a few built and posted here.

I finished one a couple of years ago. Bill's will be better!

Some of the Canepa-specific parts are a little fiddly. The side moldings in particular. I suppose I could have done some fabbing to make more supportive mounts.

Glad I'm not the only one! Hood opens maybe a quarter of the amount it should.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.

Thank you for the heads up. I will bee watching out for trouble when I get to that point.

I may try to make it a lift off hood.

Bit by bit I have been plugging away at the interior. I have it ready to stuff in the cab and attach the sleeper. Too bad all that work will never be seen again.

Progress has been made. Windows, interior, sleeper and fairings have all been assembled. Been adding parts to the frame to. Unfortunately it is curved. Between that and and the generally known fitment issues, I have had to make some spacers and tweaks to get the body to properly align with the frame.

I found only half of the custom decals I made for this truck. Fortunately. I still have the artwork files from 15 years ago. Spent part of this afternoon finding them and printing them out on decal paper.

Here is the assembled body pending BMF and decals and some of the artwork to be applied.
