dave branson Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Started this about `0 years ago. I dropped the body down on the chassis, using a set of Fujimi 1/24 20 in rim & tire along with the disc brakes. Front grill was in bad shape when I got it, front end is painted with Alclad Chrome. And yes I do have 2 more in my collection , and all 3 have different tailights. 5
espo Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 These cars had the "Pro-Touring" look from the factory before there was even such a term. They all look great, but I like the Maroon one.

Mopeyguy Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 i have always loved the look of these cars in Pro-Tour form. Awesome rendition you put together...
dave branson Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 Got back to the Javelin. Bare metaled the rear window, and gold the gold decal on the front that decal is Fred Cady 2
Dave Van Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 All those bodies are 1973-74 bodies. The 1971-72 body had the faux T-Top bar in the center of the roof. Sadly Jo-Han mixed and matched the Javelin parts using one year body with another year tail light panel. But if you buy enough kits you can 'un mix' and make a correct model. I like your builds....but I am bias..... 1
espo Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 The Maroon body with the gold stripes looks great.

Bainford Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Thanks for posting the 71/72 bodies. I have a couple '74 kits, one with the tail light on the right.
dave branson Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 Got the rest of the Bare Metal foil done, and clear coated 4
Bills72sj Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) Wow! The gloss on the maroon/gold makes it look like candy. How about this tail light set up... Edited March 1, 2022 by Bills72sj

Cleaned up real nice and I'am not a big wheel guy but those wheels and tires look awsome..The chrome on the bumper is unreal, just don't touch it too much..Nice work..
doorsovdoon Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Nice work on the paint, lovely colour, and that gold stripe really shows nicely.
