Bronzekeg Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 I got the grabber green sprayed on the body. it's a lacquer so it laid down nice. needs trimmed and clear coated. 3
gotnitro? Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Really nice work ! The Mach had quite the legacy , we bought a 2003 last spring
ubermodel Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 I wish Revell would fix the mold for the body. If you look at the rear "cap" just behind the quarter panel and above the rear bumper, the driver's side comes to a nice sharp point, while the passenger side looks like it was dropped and dented. The mold has been like this as far back as I can remember, back when there was only the Boss 429 kit in the 1980's.

Bronzekeg Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 I got the body clear coated with testors lacquer and going to wait a couple of days to trim and paint the inner fenders. I'm glad to have found a can of grabber green, it looks nice in real. 1
Bronzekeg Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 well I got the headliner and inner fenders painted, next will be trimming the body. 3
AMT68 Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Coming along very nicely. I've built a few of these (with about another four to build) and I'll have to do one in either the same or a similar green like yours. And they assemble quite well.
NOBLNG Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Looking good Ken. I really like that colour, and the trim should really make it pop!?

Bronzekeg Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 got a good start on the rear. back up lights, spoiler and louvers left to do. thanks all for your input. 2

Bronzekeg Posted February 24, 2022 Author Posted February 24, 2022 finishing up the rear and starting on the front. 2
Bronzekeg Posted February 24, 2022 Author Posted February 24, 2022 I got the front end about done, working on rocker panels and hood. 1
vamach1 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Looks like it’s all coming together. One question. Does the rear spoiler have a crinkle finish?
rightrudder Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Very nice! You're in the home stretch. Sometimes I drag my heels at this point because I don't want the build to end. I mean, it's nice to set it on the shelf for display, but the real fun is in the building. And other times, I just want to get it off the workbench and start something new!
