Oldcarfan27
Might be a little late for this, but Italeri made an Opel Blitz tanker truck that would have a perfect chassis for your build. Opel was a European division of General Motors. Same corporation that made the Chevy like yours.

However I am in poor condition financially right now and I am "making do" as they say. Or, in other words, use watcha got.😉
landman
However "making do" isn't so straightforward. It was a challenge to make the wheels tuck under the body. It took a few hub designs and some carving on the frame. Adding Meng nuts to the rear wheels
landman
Came out OK.
landman
After quite a bit of fiddling and shimming, everything appears lever and sorta straight. Now I have to enlarge the radius of the front fender openings.

1930fordpickup
You have some very good ideas for models Pat. This is another one.
Chariots of Fire
From the thickness of the casting it looks like a re-pop but the outside details are definitely from the Monogram Mack kit. It must have been used as the master.

leafsprings
Nice progress, chassis and wheels look great! When it comes to bodies and frames for light-medium duty type trucks, we really have to turn over every stone to find something that will work. Foreign kits. obscure American kits and resins usually come together to the rescue. Edited March 26, 2022 by leafsprings
