Lee_S Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 This is a Revell 1950 Oldsmobile coupe kit that I made into a ’49 fastback. It’s a conventional late ‘50s custom, dechromed with frenched headlights; It has a Mercury grille, Corvette taillights and classic ’57 Olds spinner hubcaps plus a chopped top. I’m pretty much a beginner and I almost gave up and tossed this several times until I discovered the Tutorials here on the Forum — Thanks a lot for the tips. I hope to do better next time. 3
espo Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Beautiful looking custom. Turning out a body conversion like this is a big undertaking for a beginner. The body lines flow well, and the paint looks great. 1
Kah puts Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Your kidding right? Hope to do better next time! You nailed it kid-oh.
ea0863 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I think it came out great already. The artist is always his or her own worst critic
bisc63 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Looks nice! Shades of green seem hot this year, and that one's a beauty. Cool traditional custom.
doorsovdoon Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 That looks stunning. You done a great job on the custom work, can't see nothing wrong with that! I really like the shot from the rear of the car, it shows all the curves off nicely. Very nice build.

Zippi Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Nice looking Oldsmobile. That green is striking. Nice job.
happy grumpy Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Great looking olds. I like the mods you did, the light green makes it stand out.
