#1 model citizen
Other than the body mods and custom wheels from the AMT ’66 Mustang this is a box stock build. This was my first attempt at a dice & slice since I was a tweenager and the first one ever completed! Thanks for looking! Comments welcomed.
rsmodels
Oh, I just had to look at this one. It came out great, Chrysler should have made it!
cobraman
Nice looking model, looks like a factory vehicle.

vincen47
Wow, now that’s an interesting build. Great craftsmanship, design, and creativity. One would have to wonder about the ride and handling of a 1:1 version?
Spottedlaurel
Nice work, and unlike some car-based, home-made pickup conversions it looks like it would be a surprisingly useful thing at 1:1!

I knew they were cool even way back then! 😁 They handle well even with a load. The CaraRam would appear to be more aerodynamic than a conventional pickup and the load would have a lower center of gravity. Beefing up the suspension would be a plus. 😉
happy grumpy
Great mod, it just looks right as if it was available to order. Great job, it looks right at home with the caravan.

Would you use the old 426 Hemi or something more contemporary? The A100 was definitely an inspiration & it is painted red as a nod to the Little Red Wagon. I have also considered a funny car using the van body just because I think it would look cool with a blower peeking out of a notch in the windshield and hood! Your pic is cool! Thank you! 89AKurt
I didn't know there is a model of the van to begin with, love the concept and execution.
lazlow
As for the Hemi I'm old school, I like lots of chrome and a blower, but the van/camino is newer so a modern Hemi might be the way, I have a extra 426 with blower and a set of Cragar's I can donate to the cause. cant help you with the new Hemi. I might have a straight axle to. If you want I can try to print the decals. I will have to order some decal paper so it take about a week, I need to order some any way. Let me know if I can help. Laz Thanks for the offer. It will be quite a while if at all that I get around to such an involved project. And albeit a snap kit, I’ve already built the 2 Caravans and have way too many other subjects I’m working on. To do a Little Red Wagon version would require a whole different chassis. I would probably use a modified Little Red Wagon kit to start but I would have to do a lot of research and decide if it would be contemporary to the age of the Caravan (unless I did a pure fantasy build with whatever parts that fit/work.) I have not followed any form of auto racing in years so I have not a clue as to what’s what. It would be a cool build for sure! Thanks again for your interest and offer!
