Fabulous work on the interior Joe! Good call on the tire lettering too.

What you've done so far makes a world of difference.

Thanks, you guys. Interiors and engines are my favorite parts of auto building.

My son and I last Saturday  a few minutes before 1 am. He had just gotten the Lego Republic Gunship set and was putting that together and invited me to build models with him as a father and son gig. I think we started somewhere around 9 and spent the next 4 hours together. Great time we'll both remember that one for a loooooong time.

Ummmm.....Dan......he's gotten a little bigger than the last time you saw him. lololol

and then here he is with it all completed. He's hell on wheels with getting these things done in a quick manner. lol

Dan: Hell yeah man. He just SHOT up!! I think he's planning on being at the NATS with me.

Carl: Thanks ol' buddy and you're right there.

Got the body prepped, primed and then color shot on. We'll be going with Raspberry Red from MCW.

First of all, I have to say I am so happy to put a face to the good guy you are Joe, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, your son seems as nice as you my friend ! ?

Now, speaking of models, you are not about to disappoint me, your subjects are tasteful and made with passion, you do what you love and it shows!

We could make a good team you and I because I hate doing cabin interiors and you are obviously in your element in this field, your interiors are always superb and this one is no exception!

I've read a lot of rather critical reviews of this kit and it seems like it's difficult to assemble but the Joe I know shows his talent and skill in every aspect of the build.

Even for the Mopar fan that I am, how could I not have a soft spot for the 1969 and 1970 Camaros? (This was the best time for Detroit muscle cars, IMHO).

The color is great by the way, I'll be back to check your progress my friend ! ?

Stripes are on and touched up and now we're in the middle of the foiling process. I've really gotta work on my photography in bringing out the red pigments in my pictures.

The last year of gen 1 Camaro - 1969 and first year of gen 2 - 1970 are my most favorite Camaro Z28s.

Great thread and build...

I too find red to be the hardest color to truly capture with my camera.

Thanks you guys.

OK......now that the BMF process has been completed we're ready for the gloss coat now. I started making adjustments to the exposure setting on the camera which is helping to bring the correct shade of red into my pictures.

Great work so far. It really stands out in that red ??.

Just out of curiosity - you clear coat after putting the BMF on? I’m guessing this’ll help seal the BMF in place?

Thanks you guys. Yes sir I do Sonny. It seems to help with sealing it in somewhat. I have had the BMF move during handling at the top of the side window trim so I avoid picking my builds up from the roof on the sides now. lol

'Preciate it Dave.

Here's after about an hour and a half of wet sanding and polishing...
