mvadrag Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 I added this build to the trucks section because of the pickup bed on this tried but true Revell kit. I built this model in the late eighties or early nineties (based on the color and graphics). I used an orange plastic version of this kit and added the independent suspension from the Revell Buttera Tee sedan. Engine bits came from the Revell Corvette Pro Street along with the graphics decals. Wheels and tires from a MPC Chevy Monza with an IMSA fender package. Looks like one of the front wheels is wonky from a repair over the years and the epoxy on the front lights has yellowed. Still a survivor. 1
espo Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Great looking blast from the past. Very clean looking finishes thru out. 1
Zippi Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 That's a Bad looking little Hot Rod. Great job. Still looking good.
Claude Thibodeau Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Hi José! Nice rod, and the color combo/graphics really scream late 80's. Those Buttera suspensions are tricky to build, but look so great. Bravo! CT
David G. Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Nice clean and well detailed build. Definitely an Eighties vibe, nicely done. David G.
Oldcarfan27 Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Was that the Tweedy Pie/Rodfather kit? That came out nice. I really like the suspension swap from the Buttera kits, I'll have to do that on one of mine.

mvadrag Posted June 28, 2022 Author Posted June 28, 2022 LOL! It's a caricature of me! (scanned and shrunk to avatar size) I used to use Van Gogh's painting of a skull with a cigarette in it's mouth.
