ModelcarJR Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 This is the AMT kit and it is done! Paint is Tamiya Lavender and the interior is Tamiya Gunmetal flatted out a bit. I hinged the hood and the top of the trailer with brass rod and tubing. It went together well other than my mistakes. Thanks for looking! 5
espo Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Really clean looking build. You had mentioned the color difference in your build and while it may appear somewhat lighter, I think it better shows the body lines in your build. The hinges on the the hood and the trailer look good and seem to work well.
happy grumpy Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Very cool model. This color is perfect for it. The dark interior makes a nice contrast with the body. Great build.
ModelcarJR Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! ?
Dragonhawk1066 Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Looks good, and nice job on the hinges. I have that kit as well, but the trailer is marked for a different project.
ModelcarJR Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 Thanks, Craig! I appreciate your comment!
Zippi Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Really kewl looking ride. The body & interior colors go together nicely. Those hinges worked out really nice. Great job.
David G. Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Wow! You don't see many of these, either as models or in the real world. Nice work on both of them, love the color. David G.
bisc63 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Nicely done! We don't see many of these completed, but this should inspire a few more.
galaxyg Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Cool. So often I've thought of getting and building this kit. how does it go together?
ModelcarJR Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! Michael, it goes together pretty well, that is, if you don't get the transaxle installed upside down like I did initially! It was harder taking it apart after installing it incorrectly but somehow I managed to do it. The struts etc. can be a little confusing but the instructions are good if you follow them! Thanks for looking! ? 1
