Claude....this is just too cool for school!   Plus, it just sings that you are having great fun with your modeling projects these days.   Terrific!   TB

THAT is a cool build!  LOVE the paint job.  You did a great job of blending kits and it captures the late 60's/early 70's era so many nostalgia F/C's try to achieve.

Hi Stephen!

Thanks for the comments. Long live the Nostalgia FC!

Hi Tim!

Thanks for dropping by. Cool was indeed the mood back then. I had Hot Rod Magazine "pictorial" full-page images plastered on the walls of my room, and of course it permeated my mind. Hence my soft spot for those unique fiberglass warriors.

This one might be a subliminal cross between the Beebe & Mulligan green striped livery and the goofy Jungle Jim type "cartoon art". Who knows?

Now, if you will excuse me, gotta go to my shrink... He may help me figure it out...

Claude strikes again! Fabulous- love the way everything came together, love your paint and decals!

Thank you Dave!

I'm working on a new vintage funny-car, that will be "Arizona-themed" !?!  Stay tuned...

I visited Az often, and I LOVE your neck of the woods.

An absolute mind-blower!

Beautiful paint and decal work, you've really captured the feel of the era, I love the nitromethane formula on the front!

The running gear detail is top of the line too with all the delightful details you've added.

Outstanding work!

David G.

Hi David!

Thank you for the comments. I must confess that I had to do some research to nail down the nitromethane formula... My chemistry classes were long forgotten!

WOW….Claude another super build. Everything is fantastic! Funny cars are a special build. You cannot hide anything. Everything is exposed. I love them but I have not attempted building one . I need a little more experience in building before I attempt a funny car. But this car is totally incredible. Great job sir!!!!

What they said!  I have a small fleet of funny cars and yours would look really nice sitting alongside them!

I've never built an AMC before but will be starting a replica of a local, very successful Gremlin dirt track racer later this year.

Cheers

That is one wicked Rambler.  Really like the overall build and the paint is over the top.  Good Job.

Thank you Ricky!

Nowaday, there can't be too many AMC models around. I still have a Hornet sedan and a Pacer in my stash, and trying to figure how to build them in a "different" way. We'll see!

Beautiful funny car, Claude. Absolutely stunning paint, and of course the usual clean detailing. I'm really digging this one. Excellent work.

Regarding the model show in Quebec, when and where is it. I've been thinking of checking out the Quebec show for a few years now, and this just could be the year I make the drive. I would love to check out some of your stuff in person, and Francis' truck too, if it happens to make an appearance. Cheers.

I love it. I too, kinda like AMC drag cars, and this one is out of the park! Great work!

Hi Roger!

Thanks for the compliments. If you happen to find one of those old Johan FC... Grab it! They are rare, and fun to put in your display case!

Hi Bruce!

Thanks for the comments. But don't be shy, and give a try to your favorite FC. Judging from your Cobras, it can only be outstanding!

Thank you Claude, I’ll give it a try.

Shoot fire! The chassis alone is an award winner. The body/paint work is just the smooth, rich, creamy, sinfully sweet buttercream on top!

Hi Alan!

Thank you for the comments. Your Gremlin should be fun. Just to tease you, here's one I converted to a 4WD rallye car...

Hi Trevor!

Thanks for the compliments.

It would be great to have you in Quebec city for the fall model expo. This is a very well-run event, that features about 600 models, and a few thousands visitors. Happens in the basement of a local church, and free parking is abundant. Many well-stocked vendors are on site. Door prizes are given. Trophies and plaques are awarded according to popular vote, and some judged categories. It is also possible to fill the registration forms for your model in advance, via their website: saves time when you check in! Usually, by 4:30, the award ceremony is completed.

The event is scheduled for october 16th. I'll get back to you, on this very post, to give you the emails and FB links for you and others to consult.

As to my friend Francis Laflamme outstanding Dodge PU... Francis should be there, and easy to find: just follow the crowd! LOL. Seriously, be warned: you'll want to spend hours discovering all the minute details. Your back will ache! LOL.

More later!

Many thanks for the info, Claude. Oct 16 might be a tight schedule for me, but I'll see what I can arrange. I would love to see this show. Cheers.
