Saw this on the facebook model car builders group. Gave it a try and seems to work good, perfect fit for 30awg wire, and looks close to scale. Paper clip rubber coating..............

Dollar Tree, actually dollar and a quarter tree now, has them. 80 ct. pack for 1.25.

This looks like just the right material for spark plug boots.  One question though.

Is there a best way to get the insulation off the paperclip? I know there is the xacto cut around the clip method, but has anyone found a better or easier way.

Yes, I am lazy.  haha

Might try using electrical wire stripping pliers

I straighten the clip, then cut around one time in the middle. You can then get your fingernail behind it and pull it off one side then the other.
