Dave Darby Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 (edited) Here are a couple Ts I built a long time ago. The Roadster in 1990, the Coupe, 10 years later. The Roadster was partly inspired by Norm Grabowski's Lightning Bug iteration of the Kookie T, and features the Flathead from the 49 Mercury, heads from the 50 Ford, and SCoT blower from the 57 Chevy. The belts are made from vinyl tape, and it rolls on old Trophy Series tires with hand painted whitewalls. The coupe was built from a pair of basket case originals. I hope you enjoyed this blast from the past. Edited September 3, 2022 by Dave Darby 4
bisc63 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Very cool builds! Hard to pick a favorite, both are perfect hot rods. Nicely done.
TonyW Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Very clean builds, spot on stance and superb photography. Harbs card is the perfect finishing touch. Tony.
Zippi Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Couple of good looking Ts there Dave. I love those ole Fatties.
espo Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 They are both great looking builds and have stood the test of time. I like the blown Flat Head in the roadster.
alan barton Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Yep, like 'em a lot! I did something similar recently with the bucket in red, using more of the kit components. They would make great cruising partners! Cheers Alan 1
