stitchdup Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 For me its not so much about the wheel brand thats included but it would be nice to see 3 wheel options in kits again but updated to more modern versions. for example the 3 that would get me to pick a kit over another would be stock wheels, era correct aftermarket wheels and a set of modern style aftermarket wheels. With how popular pro touring is its surprising how few kits there are of the style. visually a lot of them are stock body with aftermarket wheels so including them opens up another style without having to spend a fortune in the aftermarket. Obviously this wouldn't be for every kit but it could bring younger builders to the marketplace. 1
cobraman Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 I would like to see more two piece wheels so it is easy to have a chrome rim with a colored center. Some kits do have these but I would like to see more. 3
Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Jackman style Baja bug wheels. There's more. Stay tuned. Edited September 24, 2022 by Mike C. 1
Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Not a wheel but if AMT puts those pad printed Firestone Wide Ovals (like the ones in the Surfer van kit) in a parts pack like the once did with the Polyglas pack, I would be all over multiple sets. Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 I still don't know who made this wheel, but I love it. 1

Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Whooo! Thats pretty big. I read somewhere American came out with them in 1968. The curved spokes were meant to clear the disk brakes on the Corvettes.
JollySipper Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 How about some Centerline Champs? They were in a few kits back when this wheel was popular, but I don't believe they were since..... 2
Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Casey makes these. These look exactly like the American Racing Gambler wheel. I had a set of these on my Toyota pickup, but they were 6 lug /6 hole. Good looking wheel. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324518902361?hash=item4b8ed57a59:g:pNYAAOSwPv9gS9vH 1

Mike C. Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 I think they look pretty good with the Desert Dogs.
