Zippi Posted October 31, 2022 Author Posted October 31, 2022 (edited) I started on the foil and not sure if I'm going to do the top trim under the windows but I will get the front and rear window trim. The foil seems to be going on pretty good. Edited October 31, 2022 by Zippi 2
espo Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Amazing how smooth these early Mercs looked even with a basic stock body and skirts. The paint looks great.

Zippi Posted November 8, 2022 Author Posted November 8, 2022 (edited) Not much going on with the 49 Merc. I've been on vacation so I'm just trying to get my head back in the game. I did get the chassis, gas tank, and exhaust painted and installed. Looks like I forgot to paint the front and rear splash pan. I guess they will get painted gloss black. Zippi Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 Well....I decided to go with the 440 cu. in. engine at the last min. I put the body on the chassis to I could square up the engine before gluing it in place. Still have to detail the engine bay a little. 2
