StevenGuthmiller Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I am NOT a "custom" guy.......but that's pretty cool! Steve 1
Speedpro Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Real nice custom! That paint looks super smooth. Very well done. Speedpro 1
M W Elky Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 That’s the nicest looking grill and tail light panel I have ever seen on a 62 bel air. With the fade paint it reminds it looks like a Gene Winfield custom. Great job 1
DumpyDan Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Beautifully Done, love the fade away paint. A piece of art! 1
carrucha Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Cool custom. Good job on the chop. I really dig the paint job. 1
echo Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 You sh0uld be very proud of this build, looks like it was done in '62 and featured in Rod & Custom, very, very nice ! 1
Peter Lombardo Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Beautifully executed on so many, levels. Superb styling cues and super smooth paint, it just doesn't get any better. Bravo, Bravo! 1
Zippi Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Man that is a Slick looking ride. The color reminds me of a Dream Sickle. Very nice. 1
The Modeling Hermit Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 This one is so amazing that it is beyond words fabulous... 1

Thanks for keeping track! lol It's been a long time since I've been online here I'm a super slow builder but I actually finished one more build since I've been away. Stay tuned for another post! 1

I think most 1:1 collectors would cringe if they saw a customized 409 Belair, but I would have no problem cutting one up like this! 1

Really like the front and rear custom treatments as well as the chop and stance! Alan Mayes once said: Custom cars are rolling pieces of art and their builders are the artists. I can see true artistry here... ? Thanks man! Fade and blend paintjobs take practice (like most things I suppose) but with a decent airbrush and candy paint you could certainly learn to do it too!

I took some progress pics along the way while I was building it. I'll get around to posting them in the WIP channel to share how a lot of the work was done
